This one also flips the script on the “Romulans are bad and treacherous” thing. take a runabout to go to a conference and we meet up with them on the return journey as they discuss what they enjoyed and disliked about the conference and its just nice to get a glimpse into the recreational life of the Enterprise crew, especially this sort of off-ship activity. One of the things I like about this one is it starts with some road trip vibes. If I was re-doing this list today, I would probably switch this episode with S5 “Cause and Effect,” which I think is probably the best space problems/temporal disaster episode, but 4 years ago when I initially started this project, I guess that wasn’t the case.
